REGISTERED PRACTICAL NURSE - MENTAL HEALTH NURSING 10
Are you a registered practical nurse or a foreign trained nurse and want to work in the mental health field? If so, enrol in this Ontario College Graduate Certificate program to learn how to deliver competent, evidence-based care to persons with mental health disorders. Building on existing knowledge and skills, nurses develop the specialized learning and abilities to practise in an expanded role of the registered practical nurse in mental health.
To qualify for this certificate, you must complete the theoretical and clinical courses within three years.
Graduates can assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to address mental health needs and issues of patients, families, and communities.
